Labor Day Chukar Challenge 2010

September 4th-5th

Greetings!
All of us at Woods & Meadow are looking forward to the trial - and seeing everybody again.  We have the same crew working this year's event.  It's a family reunion of sorts - except it's the kind everyone wants to attend!!

Please read the following information carefully.  We have changed the format of the tournament in order to relieve scheduling conflicts.

As you all know, our goal is to run this tournament as a fun, laid-back way to get your dogs out competing again.  Our no added-money philosophy is an attempt to keep the weekend as stress-free as possible.  We'll wrap up each day as close to 1:30 pm as we can to beat the heat.

General Tournament info

A dog may be entered in each event stake only once.  For doubles this means once per field, for puppy, amateur, and over 50 this means once per day.

A competitor may be entered in each event stake a maximum of 3 times, with a maximum of 9 overall run per day.

Puppy, amateur, and over 50 are "best" one run scores (each day's scores will not be combined).

All fields will receive "day" points 5-3-1 with overall weekend champions receiving "major" points 20-16-12-8-4 based on "declared major" criteria.

Runs must be paid for at the time of signing up.  You can pay by credit card (visa & master card) or mail us a check.  Runs may be cancelled up to Tuesday, August 31st.  After that there will be a $50 cancellation fee.

Openings in each event will be posted in as the tournament starts filling.  Runs are filled on a first come basis.

Due to the fact the doubles and singles are now on separate days, there should be no conflicts with run times.  If you do not make your run within a reasonable amount of time, your score will be a 0 and your money will not be refunded  You are responsible for getting to your own fields on time for singles, puppy, amateur, and over 50.  You are your partner are responsible for getting to the doubles field on time.  If you do not make your run within a reasonable amount of time, your score will be a 0 and your money will not be refunded.  Watching other competitors run is not an acceptable reason for being late for your own run.  You will have several days to look over your run times to make sure there are no conflicts.

The run schedule will be listed below on Wednesday, September 1st.  Please remember as you are reviewing them that we are not perfect!!  We have worked hard to be sure that there are no scheduling conflicts, but something may have slipped by us.  If you have a question or concern please call or email us as soon as possible so we can get it corrected.

If you are playing the options (remember, it is your choice - not necessary to compete in the trial), you must declare by Friday, September 3rd, at 5:00pm.

Again, good luck - safe travels - and we'll see you Labor Day weekend.  We have great door prizes, trophies, and we'll make sure you don't leave hungry or thirsty!
